Well, here at 6sigma.com, we’re packing up our tools in our special Six Sigma tool belts and heading to a city near you with our upcoming classes!
There is actually a synergy that is produced in a traditional classroom/workshop environment. Being in the presence of like-minded peers is both challenging and inspiring.
But the main element to that synergy is being in the presence of someone who really knows the craft. In yesteryear, there were mentors who would take a student under their wing and teach them. The primary element that transpired was that special synergy, almost as though it was through osmosis.
The Definition of Synergy
Synergy: The interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements.
When the desire to learn meets a true craftsman who believes and loves his trade, that synergy is created.
Learning is a Lifetime Commitment
Keeping up with the latest challenges of technology, as well as new business practices, can prove to be a challenge in today’s ever-changing marketplace.
As in the case with doctors, lawyers, and accountants, one must keep up on the latest developments and changes in the respective practices. In fact, any profession must keep up with the latest changes and discoveries. Six Sigma is no different; although the tools used don’t change, how we utilize them has to.
