Instructor did a good job of keeping us engaged and entertained while learning topics that were completely new to many staff members in the room.
Marc Bloc was excellent at the material presentation. He quickly interpreted what we do at DFC and used the material so that it was relevant to DFC. His analogies were superior and it allowed you to process and retain the information. Marc made learning fun (and there was an enormous amount of material to intake in a very short period of time). Kudos to Marc ! Had the instructor been different, I believe we would have gotten of course pretty quickly. Thanks !
The class was given in a light atmosphere with very meaningful results.
How to focus on a project. How to define and measure and control what is going on around you.
The instructor's interaction with students, material's relevance to application at our facility.
The instructor was very clear on the class. Every question was answered in great detail and was focused on our processes in house (as much as possible).
To yet again think outside the box
Working with Minitab and applying actual test cases
the ability to do hand's on exercises and apply the data to reports and 'next decisions'. Not just lecturing.
I enjoyed our helicopter exercises and learned a lot of valuable information. It was nice to get out of my comfort zone for a while, which definitely proved challenging. I appreciated how our instructor, Jaclyn, was able to get us started in thinking about our own projects and how we can apply our Green Belt training to those going forward. I also enjoyed learning to use Minitab. It was a very user-friendly software which will be useful to me if I need to lead Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) projects.
I liked the regression chapter the most; I found it to be the most interesting, although it may not be as practical for my role as other chapters. In terms of the course structure, the way things alternated between lecture and lab was helpful to keep me focused. Also, the pattern of roughly one break per hour was ideal.
The ability to connect the material with a project. Also, the team building was great.
The helicopter exercises which promoted team building
The interaction and the clear application to existing environment.
Practical explanations of concepts and immediate clarification (when requested) between mathematical concepts and hands on application of them
