It is not normal for me to read all of anything – but you and your article on Ethnography appealed to me for many reasons. I am from Trinidad and Tobago so you must come visit some time. Your large family excited me because I am from a family of 15. I am a University professor and teach Educational Technology. I can immediately see the application of Ethnography to training needs analysis and performance problem resolution. Ethnography will unearth the real problem.
Actually I am now thinking about starting a Training Consultancy.
But I am really writing to ask you to correct these two grammos on your site: “Both tools does” should be “both tools do” and “Do he or she” should be “does he or she”. Real sorry bout this it’s such a small thing compared to the value of your blog but it’s my wife who has me this way. She is an English teacher and picks at every thing.
Love and Peace.

I do wonder if a “lean guy” really would have wondered where to use tools. That is to say, if they were truly a student wouldn’t they have first done the observation same as you did? How would they have known what tools to use had they not first observed and learned?

Keep up the good work!
