I’ve gotten rid of my phone…completely! It is the most liberating experience to no longer have this electronic leash attached to me! Give me this simple life any day! And now if only I can communicate without email……….

Amazing. The same thing just happened to me. I dumped my xv6700 because I found myself on it all the time. It was like some kind of addiction. I just got into the standard run of the mill cell phone again and its so nice not to have that leash around my neck.

I have long advocated TWO devices — phone and blackberry separate. The RAZR phone fits in my pocket so much easiser when I want to leave work alone a bit (such as during dinner, etc.). Blackberries don’t make great phones anyway.

I wife, however, is somewhat addicted. I’ve had to tell her NOT to read it while driving. Her inbox is much more active than mine, though.

I never had a blackberry before… I’ve had thoughts of just sticking with the normal phone and getting a wireless capable laptop, so if I really need to email while I’m on the road I can… but at the same time, it won’t just be right there… I don’t know… we’ll see.

I had to do away with my Blackberry too. It’s such a liberating feeling, isn’t
it? I’m amazed at how much of a slave I was to that thing… It’s just nice to
get involved in the “real world” again!!

I need to find a way to break away myself. I’ve been addicted to my CRACKberry for almost 9 months. I don’t know how you did it. Know of any good counseling?? Wait, gotta go. The red light is blinking. Could it be a missed call? A text? An email? But from who? And from which email account?? Look at me! I’m a monster!
