Nice work.

On the business teams topic, in the next pass you could talk about the other dimensions of team development and behavior; especially the impact of goals, metrics, roles, responsibilities and norms. We sometimes call the whole bundle “the practical nuts-and-bolts of teams” (not feel-good team fluff). When set carefully at the outset they can make even larger teams effective quickly; like a shortcut on the learning curve.

Another view of methodical team practices can be from complex adaptive systems (CAS) theory. The agent-rules concept from CAS is an interesting way to explain why roles, responsibilities and norms make teams more effective. And, agent-based organization structure concepts are useful in sub-dividing very large teams for very large projects.

Congratulations on the new arrival!
